Charles Roff was given just one month lead time to mount an exhibition at PZ Gallery hence the title.
The pictures on show are a diverse selection of different printing techiniques. There are traditional silver prints, liquid emulsion, digital prints, platinum prints and archival giclee prints. The sizes vary from 20" x 16" up to 78" x 44". Some are subtle in atmosphere, other powerful with strong blacks. There are early nudes (Flying Nude 1970, Platinum Print), to recent landscapes of the Cornish granite cliff rock structure (Beneath Logan Rock 2004).
Charles' style is instantly recognisable and consistant having established an early understanding of black and white imagery. He remains unique in his rendition of the photographic media as an art form.
