Pirates of Penzance

On Friday 27th October 2006 an exhibition of the Pirates Rugby Club will open, consisting of archives and contemporary photographs. The exhibition will illustrate the characters and history of the rugby club, dating back to when it was Penzance and Newlyn Rugby club and illustrating the events leading to the change to the Cornish Pirates. This exhibition will run until Monday 3rd December 2006.

The Christmas Show

The Christmas Show, opening on Friday 8th December 2006 will provide an opportunity for the public to purchase many different, local and international, artist’s work- the selection of which is yet to be made.

Developer's Showcase

On the 26th January 2007 the gallery will host the Developer’s Showcase. The aim of which is to allow the public to view the local authorities plans of redevelopment for the Penwith area. Architectural models will demonstrate proposals for many different areas, such as Penzance Harbour, Penlee Quary and Hayle. The showcase will close on Monday 26th March 2007.

Rene Burri

Between Saturday 31st March 2007 and Monday 7th May 2007 a selection of Rene Burri’s work will be on display. Rene Burri has dedicated his life work to the Magnum picture agency. The agency is one of the most respected in the world. As a result his work consists of many images from around the world showing different conflicts. See more on the artist...

Gigg Racing

A Gigg racing exhibition will open on Friday 11th May 2007. The exhibition will comprise of archives and contemporary photographs from around the Isles of Scilly. The exhibition will explore the history of traditional pilot boats as well as images of present day racing, which occurs every May off The Scilly’s. The exhibition will come to an end on Monday 25th June 2007.

History Of Surfing

On 29th June 2007, an exhibition of the History of Surfing will open. This will comprise of the earliest images of surfing from various locations around the world, such as California, Hawaii and Australia as well as local history of surfing, at Sennen, Gwenva and St Ives.
